We decided to make a film about bullying because we believe that this issue is not taken seriously enough in schools and society. Many young people experience exclusion, verbal abuse, and psychological terror, and we wanted to show how bad this can feel for a person and what consequences it can have if no one intervenes. In our film, a classmate is repeatedly harassed because he is different, and in the end this leads to an extreme act that nobody wanted. We wanted to make it clear that it is not a person's background or physical appearance that is decisive, but rather the behavior and treatment of others, and that feelings of guilt, fear, and despair can be very real. For us, this fits in well with pics4peace because this campaign encourages young people to speak their minds and find nonviolent ways to draw attention to problems and advocate for peaceful coexistence.
