Power In High Heels

This work arose from my examination of power, gender, and political reality. It juxtaposes two contrasting understandings of power and reveals their imbalance. Donald Trump represents a patriarchal and misogynistic form of power that has become particularly evident in recent years through his language, attitude, and political decisions. The American flag without stars, which have been replaced by bombs, symbolizes a policy in which military strength and destruction are increasingly legitimized as expressions of power. In contrast, there is the female figure in high heels. Her position above Trump reverses the usual power structure and remains ambivalent at the same time. The high heels represent precisely this area of tension. They are a symbol of strength, presence, and self-determination, but also of social expectations and a seemingly fragile elevation. Who has power, how is it represented, and how easily can it be shifted—
