Breakthrough to Freedom

Info:

The sculpture “Breakthrough to Freedom” was created from white Carrara marble during an art trip to Florence. I didn't have a specific goal in mind while working on it. The form developed step by step without a plan. It was as free as the working process itself. Carrara marble is a very hard and resistant material. That is precisely why it symbolizes solid structures, boundaries, or systems. The breakthrough in the middle of the sculpture was deliberately chosen and forms a striking contrast to the solid marble. It symbolizes that freedom can emerge even from the hardest of materials. In my artwork, freedom is not expressed as something perfect or predictable, but as something that arises spontaneously, takes shape, and creates new possibilities for everyone.
