Bad Decision

We addressed the topic of military service and the war in Ukraine because many of us question the fairness of only young men being required to serve on the front lines. The war in Ukraine affects people throughout Europe, and we wanted to show in our film how it feels to consider risking one's life for a country or an idea that one has not chosen for oneself. Many young people are critical of conscription because they don't want anyone to be forced to fight, and because war and violence are not a solution for us. We wanted to make it clear that peace, freedom, and equality are important and that young voices should be heard in this discussion. This film fits in with pics4peace because this campaign is specifically designed to give young people a platform to creatively express their perspectives on war, peace, and democratic values and to engage in dialogue with others.
