Dispersion Thresholds

Info:

The work shows an emergent, interactive system of moving agents that initially operate in a calm, peaceful state.

The viewer's intervention puts the agents into a “state of stress.” This subsides over time, but the agents' “sensitivity” is increased and they react more intensely to the next disturbance. When certain thresholds are reached, the agent enters the next phase. The agents learn to deal with stress individually, but can also die as a result.

The work depicts the lasting impact of destructive interventions in social states and allows the viewer to reflect on the effect of inconspicuous actions that can unfold in complex systems.
