Stadtbücherei meets #endlichankommen

[Translate to English:] Martha Maucher

The director of the City Library, Martha Maucher, and her team have been awarded the Bavarian Library Prize 2024 – congratulations! Find out here what exciting collaborations the City Library is planning with us as part of #endlichankommen. In the video, Ms. Maucher also explains why the City Library and the project are such a good fit.

The city library is a key partner in the #endlichankommen project by pics4peace. Almost all of the interviews for “1,000 Experiences” are recorded at this meeting place in the city center, which is open to the public. It is a great place that facilitates encounters and exchanges.

In addition, a separate event is planned: #zeitmitpersönlichkeit.

This evening offers all guests the opportunity to meet personalities they would probably never encounter in everyday life – a bit like “blind dates.” Visitors draw four personalities from a kind of black box and have a 15-minute one-on-one conversation with each of them. After this hour of intensive encounters, everyone comes together in a moderated round to share their experiences.

The event is planned to take place in the new reading café in the Falkenhaus, which is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in spring 2025. Date: May 15, 2025, 7:00 p.m. A date that anyone curious about new encounters should make a note of.

More information about the project can be found at endlichankommen.info.
