Currently, Thomas and I are taking turns regularly at the recording studio. Today it was my turn: at 9:30 a.m., I cycled to the city library, which opens its doors at 10:00 a.m. sharp. Then I went straight up to LEVEL 3—and into the small but very nice recording studio. We are incredibly grateful that we are allowed to record there for our project.
Once again, I had the pleasure of welcoming some wonderful guests. A father and mother brought their sons with them – one aged 7, the other 13. What was particularly exciting was that the 13-year-old took part himself and answered the questions from his perspective as a child and schoolboy. These were wonderful moments that we were able to experience together. Every single encounter was a real gift.
And as so often happens – I felt the same way Thomas has often felt: After the 20 standardized questions, I would have loved to leave the microphone on and just keep going. Instead, we continued the conversation “off the record.”
Maybe there will even be extra episodes with participants, beyond the standard format. Because there is so much more that is worth sharing and discussing.
But that's exactly the idea behind our project: everyone who listens to the “1,000 Experiences” podcasts or attends our events should be inspired to ask questions themselves, engage in conversation, and get to know each other better.
