Shortly before the opening, it was time to get to work. Thirty-two large-format posters had to be installed at the Congress Centrum Würzburg today—and in just a few hours.
The exhibition showcases works by young artists, students of design. They have examined current news stories and presented their views on the topics in poignant images. The result is a picture show that stimulates thought and opens up discourse.
The fact that the AfD – a party that is classified in some quarters as suspected of being right-wing extremist – is meeting in the same building at the same time as the opening underscores the significance of this exhibition.
With the tremendous support of Tourism Director Mr. Rudek, Technical Director Mr. Möller, and Marina, who contributed her expertise in cultural mediation and curation, the project was successfully implemented. Axel, Klaus, and Oti from pics4peace also provided valuable assistance. After four hours of intensive work, the exhibition was ready for its visitors.
The posters will reach thousands of people who come to the building for congresses and conferences—as well as those attending the “Alternative” event.
The grand opening will take place tomorrow at 12 noon. All interested parties are cordially invited.
